The DHL Fulfillment Network Investigation Service That Finds Your Missing Stock and Raises It With the Right Party.

DHL Fulfillment Network is run by DHL Supply Chain. Your storefront sends the orders, its fulfillment centers store, pick and pack, and the MySupplyChain portal shows the stock. When the portal, the carrier and your own records disagree, we rebuild the unit count from inbound to delivery, decide whether the loss sat with the warehouse or the carrier and raise it with the right one. Warehouse or carrier

Who Pays When Your Stock Goes Missing at DHL

Inside the fulfillment center, the warehouse answers to your fulfillment agreement: its standard of care, its liability terms and any inventory tolerance it sets. Under US law a warehouse owes reasonable care for the goods it stores, and it can limit its liability by contract. Once a parcel is handed to a carrier, the carrier’s terms take over, and those are usually priced by weight unless value was declared.

The same missing unit can be worth very different amounts depending on which side of the handover it disappeared. Put a carton on the scale and see.

  • The handover scan decides warehouse or carrier
  • Agreement terms read before any figure is raised

How we handle it

How We Investigate Your DHL Stock, Step by Step

Each step builds on the one before it. Nothing is raised until the count, the location and the proof agree.

How DHL Fulfillment Network Names Each Leg

Orders arrive through your storefront integration, stock sits in DHL Supply Chain fulfillment centers and shows in the MySupplyChain portal, and parcels leave with a carrier. Every leg has its own record and its own party. Tap a route on the board.

DHL investigation questions

DHL Fulfillment Network Investigation FAQs

Don’t see your question? Send us your MySupplyChain exports and we’ll answer it directly.

What is DHL Fulfillment Network?

DHL Fulfillment Network is the ecommerce fulfillment service run by DHL Supply Chain. It stores your goods in DHL fulfillment centers, takes orders from platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce and Temu, picks, packs and ships them through a network of transport partners and handles returns. Stock and orders show in the MySupplyChain dashboard.

Is DHL Fulfillment Network the same as DHL Express?

DHL Fulfillment Network is a separate service from DHL Express. Fulfillment Network sits under DHL Supply Chain and runs the warehouses, while parcels leave with a carrier that may be a DHL parcel business or another partner. Each side has its own terms and its own claim route, so a lost unit must be raised with the right one.

How do I check my inventory in DHL Fulfillment Network?

You check DHL Fulfillment Network inventory in MySupplyChain, the dashboard DHL provides for orders, stock levels, inbound quality and outbound volumes. Compare its counts with your storefront orders, supplier packing lists and carrier tracking. A gap between those records is where missing stock shows up, and each gap needs to be placed at a handover.

Who pays when stock goes missing in a DHL warehouse?

Who pays for stock lost inside a DHL fulfillment center depends on your fulfillment agreement. Under US law, a warehouse must use the care a reasonably careful person would, and it can limit its liability through the storage agreement. Read your agreement’s liability terms, valuation method and any inventory tolerance before raising a claim. We check it first.

How long do I have to file a DHL Express claim?

DHL Express requires all claims to be submitted in writing within 30 days from the date DHL accepted the shipment. Warehouse discrepancies follow the notice period in your fulfillment agreement instead, and other carriers set their own deadlines. Rebuild the count early so each gap reaches the right party before its window closes.

How much does DHL Express pay for a lost package?

DHL Express limits its liability to 26 Special Drawing Rights per kilogram for air shipments, about US$35 per kilogram, and 8.33 SDR per kilogram for road shipments, unless the shipper bought shipment value protection. Lost profits and other indirect losses are excluded. Light, valuable goods lose the most under weight-based limits.

Why is my DHL claim payout lower than my loss?

A DHL claim payout is often lower than the loss because carrier liability is priced by weight unless value was declared and protection was bought. Inside the warehouse, your fulfillment agreement may also cap liability or value goods at cost. The same missing unit can be worth very different amounts depending on which side of the handover it went missing.

What records do I need for a DHL lost inventory claim?

A DHL lost inventory claim needs records that show what you sent and where it went. That means your inbound paperwork and packing lists, MySupplyChain stock and order exports, storefront orders, carrier tracking and supplier invoices for value. Never create or edit a record to fill a gap. Send us what you have and we will show what is missing.

What does a DHL fulfillment investigation service do?

A DHL fulfillment investigation service rebuilds your unit count from inbound to delivery, works out whether each loss happened in the warehouse or with the carrier and raises it with the right party under the right terms. We file each gap once, with an indexed file your DHL account team can check. Start with a free assessment.

How much does a DHL stock investigation cost?

The cost of a DHL stock investigation depends on how many units, months and handovers are involved and how clean the records are. A gap inside one fulfillment center takes less work than losses spread across several carriers. We start with a free assessment of your exports, then give you a price before any work begins.

Can anyone guarantee a DHL claim payout?

No one can guarantee a DHL claim payout, because DHL Supply Chain or the carrier decides each claim under its own terms. Be careful with anyone who promises one. What we commit to is the work: every unit placed at a handover, every documented gap raised once, and a straight answer on what is worth pursuing before you pay.
