Your suspension notice

What Your Social Media Suspension Notice Means

Each network names its actions its own way. The notice tells you what got flagged. It rarely tells you why. Pick the notice that matches yours and see what sets it off, what the network can prove and what it’s only assuming.

Account disabled for a Community Standards or integrity violation

Disabled

Reviewed by Spam and platform manipulation

Typical grade: Difficult

What sets it off

  • An automated integrity or content read
  • Reports on the account
  • Strikes past the threshold

What they can prove

  • The content or activity on file
  • The strike count

What they infer

  • That the owner caused the violation
  • That the pattern will repeat

Our pathway

  1. 1Read the notice and Account Status
  2. 2Find the cause in the account record
  3. 3Fix it before the appeal
  4. 4File inside the review window
A disable notice names a category. We find the cause before we write anything.
Account compromised, then disabled

Hacked

Reviewed by Account integrity and authenticity

Typical grade: Moderate

What sets it off

  • A new login from an unknown device
  • Recovery email and phone replaced
  • Scam posts or messages

What they can prove

  • Every login and change, with timestamps
  • The posts and their source device

What they infer

  • That the owner made the posts

Our pathway

  1. 1Recover access through the security flow
  2. 2Rebuild the takeover from security emails
  3. 3Confirm identity with ID
  4. 4Appeal the disable as a compromise
The security emails usually prove the takeover for us.

What sets it off

  • A name or photo change
  • Reports from other users
  • A duplicate profile

What they can prove

  • The name history and reports

What they infer

  • That the account is not who it claims to be

Our pathway

  1. 1Prove identity with ID
  2. 2Prove the brand with registration and trademark
  3. 3Resolve any duplicate profile
  4. 4Appeal with the ownership file
Impersonation flags often land on the real brand. We prove who owns the name.

Spam and automation

Reviewed by Identity verification and account security

Typical grade: Difficult

What sets it off

  • Activity at automated rates
  • A third party tool with access
  • Duplicate posts or messages

What they can prove

  • Action rates and the connected apps

What they infer

  • That the account is automated or buying engagement

Our pathway

  1. 1Revoke every third party app
  2. 2Rebuild the activity history
  3. 3Explain each spike
  4. 4Appeal tied to the spam rule
Spam actions are usually a tool, not the owner. Removing the tool starts the appeal.

  • Bulk messages to people without opt in
  • Blocks and reports
  • An unofficial app

What they can prove

  • Sending volume and reports

What they infer

  • That the number is used for spam

Our pathway

  1. 1Find the campaign or app behind it
  2. 2Stop it and switch to the official app
  3. 3Explain the business use
  4. 4Request a Review or @SpamBot review

What they infer

  • That the owner allowed it

Our pathway

  1. 1Remove the content behind the action
  2. 2Document the moderation setup

How Social Networks Decide Whether to Reinstate You

A network doesn’t read your appeal on its own. It reads it against your whole account: your strikes, your linked assets, your login history and every appeal you’ve sent before. We write yours to answer what the network is actually weighing.

Step by step

How to Get a Suspended Social Media Account Reinstated

The same five steps on every network, done in each network’s own channel. Below is how we work your case, start to finish.

One method, six appeal systemsTap a cell
Step 1 on Meta

We read everything the network sent

Note

The five steps never change. What each step looks like does. Tap a cell to see a step on a specific network.

The steps, in writing
  1. 01

Step 1. We read everything the network sent

Your notice, every email, Account Status or the violations page, your login and security activity and every past appeal. Nothing gets written until we see the full picture.

    • Notice and emails
    • Account Status screenshots
    • Login and security activity
    • Prior appeals
  2. 02

Step 2. We find what the network actually read

Your posts, logins, apps, linked accounts and reports usually show what the notice leaves out. We find the real cause and make sure it holds up when a reviewer starts asking questions.

    • Timeline of events
    • Content or activity involved
    • Likely detection signal
    • Reviewing team
  3. 03

Step 3. We grade the case before you pay

You’ll know how hard your case is and why. If we can’t help, we tell you before you pay.

    • Case grade
    • Window and appeal count left
    • Documents still needed
    • Working timeline range
  4. 04

Step 4. We write in that network’s format

A short in-app appeal for TikTok, a review request with identity confirmation for Meta, a rule-specific appeal for X, a termination appeal for YouTube. Proof behind every point, and a second specialist reviews it before it’s filed.

    • Appeal statement
    • Identity and ownership file
    • Security timeline where hacked
    • Submission plan
  5. 05

Step 5. We keep it moving until a person decides

Every reply tells us something. If it’s denied, we rebuild from the denial reason and use the next channel the network offers. We never resend the same appeal.

    • Submission log
    • Reply analysis
    • Escalation route
    • Account protection checklist

If the first submission is rejected

1

Native in-app appeal

The review option on the notice, in Account Status, in YouTube Studio, on the WhatsApp ban screen or in the Reddit appeal portal.

Most cases are decided here when the first appeal is right, which is why we spend the most time on it.
2

Identity and security flows

Meta identity confirmation, LinkedIn verification, Google account recovery and each network’s hacked account flow.

For takeovers and identity holds, access comes back through security first and the appeal follows.
3

Business and creator support

Meta Account Quality and Business Support, WhatsApp Business Support review, Twitch Partner support and Help Center requests.

Used to find out what is actually blocking reinstatement before the next submission.
4

Oversight Board and EU routes

The Oversight Board for eligible Facebook, Instagram and Threads content decisions, and Digital Services Act routes for EU users.

Selective. Only when the internal appeal is complete and the case qualifies.
5

Pre-escalation notice

When a case is stuck and the facts are on your side, an attorney-reviewed letter to the platform’s legal team puts the dispute on record. We only use it when the case calls for it.

The final rung. We prepare the notice. Attorney-reviewed, and used only when the case calls for it.

Why the hard cases come here

We are the ones account owners come to when every other agency and law firm has already failed.

Most account owners find us after their appeals were denied and another agency already tried. A denied appeal stays on the account, so the next one has to be built differently. Our team has worked inside these platforms and knows what each review is measuring. That’s how we’ve resolved more than 10,000 cases.

How hard is your case

Know How Hard Your Social Media Case Is Before You Pay

Toggle what’s true for your account and watch the grade change. The more damage on the account, the more work it takes, and your price follows. We take cases up to Hell 5. Past that, we tell you before you pay.

What the team sees
How we work it

Moderate

A clear trigger on an account with a clean history. Remove the cause, then one precise review request in the network’s own format.

Difficult

A heavier policy, often with a cause the notice doesn’t name. Rebuild the record and prove ownership before the appeal.

Hell 1

A past appeal on file that the next one is read against. A security timeline that explains the case without contradicting the record.

Hell 2

Links or a strike count the network reads as intent. A map of every link and a full account of every connected account.

Hell 3

A permanent action with history on file. Strikes that don’t hold get cleared first, then the account appeal.

Hell 4

The usual appeal is used up or closed. Identity, business and regulatory routes where the account qualifies.

Hell 5

A long record against the account with more than one team. A plan first, one clean filing and one well timed escalation.

Hell 6

No real path to a human reviewer left. We tell you before you pay.

Hell 7

No real option left. We tell you before you pay.

One consistent identity across ID, profile, and recovery details, and a clean account of any unauthorized access.

Intellectual property

Processes copyright, trademark, and impersonation of a brand: Meta’s IP team, YouTube’s Copyright team and Content ID, Twitch’s DMCA process, and Tumblr’s DMCA team.

Social media reinstatement questions

Social Media Account Suspension FAQs

Don’t see your question? Send us your notice and we’ll answer it directly.

Why was my social media account disabled?

Social networks disable an account when they decide it broke their community rules or looks unsafe. Common reasons are spam or fake activity, impersonation, a hacked account, intellectual property reports and repeated content violations. The notice inside the app or in your email usually names the rule, and the appeal has to answer that rule.

How do I appeal a disabled Instagram account?

You appeal a disabled Instagram account by logging in to Instagram and following the on screen steps to ask for a review of the decision. Instagram may ask you to confirm your identity, sometimes with a video selfie. Use the same email or phone tied to the account, answer every step and save screenshots of the notice and each message.

How long do I have to appeal a suspended Facebook account?

Facebook gives you 180 days to appeal a suspended account. Log in to Facebook and you will be prompted to appeal. If you do not appeal within 180 days, or the appeal is not successful, Facebook permanently disables the account. Use that window to gather proof before you file.

How long does a social media account appeal take?

Social media appeal times vary by network and by case. Some reviews come back in days, while identity checks and appeals that need human review can take weeks. Instagram says some appeals are prioritized for human review, which limits how many it can handle. You get an honest time range after your free assessment.

How do I appeal a suspended X account?

You appeal an X suspension by logging in to the suspended account and following the prompts, which sometimes let you unlock it by confirming a phone number or email. If that does not work, file an appeal through X’s appeals form while logged in. Explain what happened and what changed since the suspension.

How do I appeal a Snapchat account lock?

You appeal a Snapchat account lock from inside the app. Open Snapchat, try to log in and tap Appeal if your lock is eligible, or go to Settings, then Account Status, and tap the enforcement marked Tap to Appeal. Not every lock can be appealed, so read the notice first.

My Instagram was hacked and then disabled. Can I get it back?

A hacked and then disabled Instagram account can often be worked back, but security comes first. Start at Instagram’s hacked account page to recover access, secure the email tied to the account and turn on two factor authentication. Then appeal the disable with proof the violation happened during the takeover, like security emails and login alerts.

Can I just make a new account after a ban?

Making a new account to get around a ban breaks the rules on most networks and can be linked back to the original. X, for example, says you may not get around its enforcement by creating new accounts. A new account can also be removed and make the first appeal harder. Work the original account back through review.

How long do violations stay on a TikTok account?

TikTok says violations on an account expire after 90 days and are no longer taken into consideration. Repeated violations inside that window stack and can lead to a ban. Keep the account clean while an appeal is open, and do not repost content TikTok already removed.

Is it worth hiring someone to recover a disabled social media account?

Help is worth it when the account carries your income or audience, a first appeal failed or the case involves identity checks or a takeover. We find which rule was applied, gather the proof and file through the network’s own process. Start with a free assessment before you send another appeal.

How much does a social media account recovery service cost?

The cost of social media account recovery depends on the network and how hard the case is. A single content strike takes far less work than a hacked and disabled business account with Pages and ad accounts tied to it. Every case starts with a free assessment, and you get a clear price before you pay anything.

Can anyone guarantee social media account reinstatement?

No one can guarantee social media account reinstatement, because each network makes the final decision on its own appeals. Be careful with anyone who promises one or claims special access. What we commit to is the work: finding the real cause and filing a strong, honest appeal. If we do not see a path, we tell you before you pay.
