Why the hard cases come here

We are the ones businesses come to when every other agency and law firm has already failed.

Most owners find us after their reports were declined and another agency already tried. A declined report stays on the record, so the next one has to be built differently. Our team has worked inside these platforms and knows what each review is measuring. That’s how we’ve resolved more than 10,000 cases.

    Tripadvisor review removal questions

    Tripadvisor Review Removal FAQs

Don’t see your question? Send us your listing and we’ll answer it directly.

Can a business owner remove a bad review on Tripadvisor?

A business owner cannot delete a Tripadvisor review, but Tripadvisor will remove one that breaks its review posting guidelines. Reviews that qualify include secondhand accounts, reviews written more than a year after the experience, reviews from staff, family or nearby competitors, blackmail attempts and reviews of the wrong property. A free assessment shows which of yours fit.

    What reviews violate Tripadvisor guidelines?

Tripadvisor guidelines bar reviews that are not an honest account of the writer’s own experience. That includes secondhand stories, reviews submitted more than one year after the visit, reviews from anyone affiliated with the property, competitors within 10 miles, blackmail, reviews inspired by news coverage and reviews only about business hours, a closure or a failed attempt to make contact.

How do I report a fake review on Tripadvisor?

You report a fake Tripadvisor review from your owner account by choosing the guideline it breaks and explaining why. Back it up with records, like a booking or covers search that finds no guest by that name in that month. Reports that only say the review is unfair or untrue get declined. Ask for a second look only with new evidence.

How long does Tripadvisor take to review a reported review?

Tripadvisor assesses most reported reviews quickly, and its transparency report says 85 percent of community reports were assessed within four hours. Cases that need a deeper look, like a coordinated wave or a review your first report did not remove, take longer. Each decision is weighed against what was already sent, so the first report matters most.

What should I do if a guest threatens a bad Tripadvisor review?

A guest who threatens a bad Tripadvisor review to get a refund or upgrade is attempting blackmail under Tripadvisor guidelines. Report the threat to Tripadvisor right away, ideally before the review posts, and keep the guest’s messages. Do not give in to the demand. A blackmail review that matches a report on file is far easier to get removed.

How does Tripadvisor detect fake reviews?

Tripadvisor screens every review with an automated system before it posts, and flagged reviews go to human moderators who work in 28 languages. After posting, community reports and fraud investigations can still remove a review. Businesses caught buying reviews face ranking penalties, and severe cases get a red badge warning on the profile.

Does advertising on Tripadvisor affect reviews or ranking?

Advertising has no effect on Tripadvisor reviews or ranking. Tripadvisor states that a business’s commercial relationship with it has absolutely no impact on its popularity ranking, which is based only on user feedback. Paying will not remove a review. The only route is showing a review breaks the posting guidelines.

How is the Tripadvisor Popularity Ranking calculated?

The Tripadvisor Popularity Ranking is based on the quality, recency and quantity of your reviews. Bubble ratings set quality, newer reviews count more than older ones, and more reviews give a steadier position. That is why a cluster of fake one-bubble reviews can drop your ranking fast, and why removing them matters.

How should I respond to a negative Tripadvisor review?

Respond to a negative Tripadvisor review with a short, calm management response that thanks the guest, addresses the issue and invites them to contact you. Never share booking details or argue. If the review breaks the guidelines, report it first and keep your reply neutral, since future travelers read both.

Is it worth hiring a Tripadvisor review removal service?

Hiring help is worth it when you face a wave of fake reviews, a blackmail review or a report that was already declined. Each report is read against the last, so a weak first one costs you. We match every review to your booking records and report only under the guideline it breaks. Start with a free assessment.

How much does Tripadvisor review removal cost?

The cost of Tripadvisor review removal depends on how many reviews qualify and how strong the records are. One blackmail review with saved messages is simpler than a coordinated wave from a competitor. We start with a free assessment, then give you a price before any work begins.

Can anyone guarantee Tripadvisor review removal?

No one can guarantee Tripadvisor review removal, because Tripadvisor makes every decision. Be careful with anyone who promises it. What we commit to is the work: every review checked against your records, reported under the right guideline, and a straight answer on your chances before you pay.
