A TikTok Shop affiliate removal means your shop has been disqualified from Affiliate Marketing, and you get your previous affiliate plans back automatically only if the shop qualifies again within 14 days. For sellers, the usual trigger is a Shop Performance Score (SPS) below 3.0 or a policy violation that leads to deactivation. Once the shop is disqualified, active collaborations may be terminated, new ones are blocked and every enrolled product is removed. For creators, the trigger is fake engagement, manipulation or the same violation repeated 6 times in 90 days. The 14 days decide how much of your creator channel survives, so the clock matters more than the appeal.
The parent topic, with both sides of the program side by side, sits in our main guide to TikTok Shop affiliate suspension.
What the TikTok Shop Affiliate Removal Warning Means
The notice reads “Affiliate program access suspended.” Two policies sit behind it. The seller side runs on TikTok Shop’s Affiliate Marketing Policy, which the US Seller Academy lists with a 10/09/2026 date. The creator side runs on the Creator Enforcement Policy, dated the same day. Read the one that matches your role before you change anything.
The three SPS bands that govern affiliate access
Most sellers think of affiliate access as on or off. The policy works in three bands, and each one does something different to your creator program.
- SPS of 3.5 or higher. The shop qualifies for Affiliate Marketing. SPS is calculated over the last 90 days.
- SPS from 3.0 up to 3.5. The shop gets a warning. It can no longer add new products to Affiliate Marketing, but existing collaborations keep running.
- SPS below 3.0. The shop is disqualified. Active collaborations may be terminated, new ones cannot be created and all enrolled products are removed.
TikTok Shop checks shop performance daily to decide disqualification. A shop can drop out of the program on a Tuesday because of orders that went wrong three weeks earlier. The warning band between 3.0 and 3.5 is the last point where you can act before collaborations end, and our article on an SPS that has slipped below 3.5 covers that stage in detail.
Requalify means 3.5, not 3.0
The policy says a shop regains access by meeting the qualification criteria again. The qualification line is 3.5. A seller who pushes the score from 2.9 back to 3.1 has stopped the bleeding but has not requalified. We see this mistake more than any other on affiliate removals, because the disqualification number and the qualification number are different and the notice tends to mention only the lower one.
What happens after day 14
Inside 14 days, previous affiliate plans are restored automatically. After 14 days, access can still return once the shop meets the criteria, but the seller has to start new collaborations by hand. That means new invitations, new terms and creators who may have moved to a competing product in the meantime. A brand with 200 active creators loses far more on day 15 than a brand with 5.
Products can be removed on their own
Disqualification can also hit a single product. The Affiliate Marketing Policy warns a product whose Voice of Customer (VoC) Index runs above 1.5 times its category average and blocks new affiliate enrollment for it. Above 3 times the category average, the product may be restricted or removed. Products tied to intellectual property, fair trading or customer review violations, or flagged as inauthentic, may be disqualified too. The same 14 day restoration rule applies to a product as to a shop.
Who ends up here
Three business models produce most of the cases we take on.
- Brands that run on creator GMV. When creators drive most sales, disqualification stops the business, not one channel.
- Sellers whose SPS fell during a creator surge. A video goes wide, orders triple, dispatch slips and the 90 day score sinks below 3.0 two weeks later.
- Creators with inflated engagement. Bought views, follow trains or coordinated comment groups trip the creator side of enforcement.
What Restores Collaborations Inside 14 Days
Restoration has one test. The shop meets the qualification criteria again within 14 days of disqualification. For a score trigger, that means SPS back to 3.5 or higher. For a policy trigger, it means the violation resolved and the shop back in good standing, which usually runs through an appeal or a correction.
Decide on day one whether 3.5 is reachable
Our first move on every TikTok Shop affiliate removal is to read the SPS trajectory. SPS covers 90 days of orders. Fourteen days of clean orders is a small slice of that window for a shop with steady volume. A shop sitting at 2.95 with a short backlog can often climb. A shop sitting at 2.4 with a quality problem in its best seller usually cannot reach 3.5 in two weeks, and pretending otherwise burns the window.
Run three readings. Day one tells you where you are. Days four and seven tell you the direction. If the line is rising at a pace that crosses 3.5 before day 14, requalifying is the main plan. If it is flat, something is still pulling it down. Find it that day, and if the cause was a policy action rather than the score, start the appeal in parallel.
Where SPS points come back fastest
The TikTok Shop Fulfillment Policy, dated 09/28/2026 for the US, sets the metrics that pull a creator-driven shop down after a surge.
| Metric | TikTok Shop standard | What breaks it after a creator surge | First fix |
|---|---|---|---|
| Late Dispatch Rate | 4% or lower recommended, enforcement may apply above 10% | Orders sit past the 2 business day dispatch window | Clear the oldest Awaiting Shipment orders first |
| Valid Tracking Rate | 95% or higher | Labels printed in bulk and never scanned | Confirm a carrier scan on every shipped order |
| On-Time Delivery Rate | 80% or higher | Slow services picked to save money at volume | Move surge orders to a faster service |
| Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate | 2.5% or lower | Overselling stock the creator video emptied | Sync inventory and pause sold-out variants |
Regular orders must reach In Transit within 2 business days of Awaiting Shipment. They auto-cancel if not moved to Awaiting Collection within 5 days, and the deliver-by limit is 6 days. A surge that doubles volume overnight puts every one of those clocks at risk. Our pieces on late dispatch rate and valid tracking rate break down each metric.
Policy triggers inside the window
When a violation caused the removal, end the activity that broke the rule and correct the terms or content behind it. That can mean ending a collaboration with a creator who posted unsupported claims, rewriting commission terms that paid for volume with no content rules, or pulling affiliate videos with missing disclosures. Date every change. The Seller Enforcement Policy allows corrections as an alternative to appeals for some violations, and for immediate enforcement actions the correction or appeal must come within 12 to 72 hours of the notice. Read the notice for which one applies.
A working plan for the 14 days
| Days | Focus | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 2 | Identify the trigger, read SPS and check for a 12 to 72 hour deadline | A written cause and a target of 3.5 |
| 2 to 7 | Fix dispatch, tracking, cancellations and creator content | A dated log of every correction |
| 7 to 10 | Check the SPS trend against 3.5 | Decision to requalify or appeal |
| 10 to 14 | Confirm requalification or file the appeal | Plans restored or appeal filed |
The plan is our method, not a platform schedule. Your notice controls the dates, so count from the date it shows.

How to Fix the Cause Before TikTok Shop Escalates
Escalation follows a cause that stays in place. A seller who misses the 14 days rebuilds every collaboration by hand. A seller whose shop is deactivated for a policy violation can be permanently disqualified from Affiliate Marketing. A creator who repeats the same violation 6 times within 90 days may lose e-commerce permissions at once and have commissions frozen, whatever their Creator Health Rating (CHR) points show. The fix has to address the pattern, not the single event that was flagged.
Brands with large creator networks
A brand that sells mostly through creators needs control over two things. One is what creators say. The other is how much demand they can create in one day. Screen commission terms and creator content against TikTok Shop rules before any campaign goes live. Hand every creator an approved claims sheet and a written disclosure requirement. Stagger large launches so dispatch keeps pace. Keep a live register of every collaboration with the creator, the terms, the approved content and the launch date.
Sellers whose score fell after fast growth
Fast affiliate growth is good until it overruns the warehouse. Hold SPS at 3.5 or above through growth, because 3.5 is the line that keeps you adding products to the program. Before you accept a big creator push, confirm stock, packing hours and carrier pickups. Watch cancellations and dispatch daily during the surge. If dispatch slips past 2 business days, slow the campaign before the score follows.
Creators
The Creator Enforcement Policy names fake engagement as an attempt to manipulate platform features. Keep engagement organic and disclose every paid promotion. Log every warning the day it lands, and fix the pattern after the first one, because the sixth repeat inside 90 days can end your e-commerce access. A creator account is also exposed through the shop it is tied to. Under the Seller Enforcement Policy, when a shop is deactivated or its Order Volume Limit reaches 0, the e-commerce permissions of associated creator accounts are blocked at the same time.
Creators who also want Auction features face a separate gate. The Affiliate Marketing Policy asks for a CHR above 150 and a Promotion Performance Score above 3.5, or more than 3 e-commerce livestreams of at least 10 minutes in the past 30 days where no score exists. Our guides cover creator e-commerce permission removal, withheld creator commissions and fake engagement flags.
When to appeal instead
Appeal when the removal rests on a mistake, or when day 14 will pass before SPS reaches 3.5 and you hold a clean record of correction. Sellers file through Seller Center. The Seller Enforcement Policy gives 30 days from notification for the first appeal and 15 days from a rejection for the second. Two appeals per violation is the limit, and decisions after the second are final. Creators get one appeal per violation, filed within 30 days of enforcement, and Creator Health enforcement actions cannot be appealed at all. Frozen creator commissions may be forfeited if no appeal is filed in time or the appeal is denied.
Our method writes separate letters for the seller side, the creator side and full account removal, because each answers a different question. The seller letter follows this order.
- Position. Affiliate activity is compliant and the cited concern is corrected. Name the notice and the Affiliate Marketing Policy.
- Root cause. Name the cause, whether a commission term, a content issue in affiliate campaigns or a creator collaboration flag. List the campaigns involved. Blame no creator, buyer or platform team.
- Corrective actions. State what is done, such as the collaboration ended, the terms rewritten and the content removed, each with a date.
- Preventive actions. Describe the affiliate program procedure that now screens terms and creator content before launch, and name its owner.
- Evidence. Attach the notice, the campaigns and terms involved and the corrective log, in the same order as the letter.
- Request. Ask for affiliate access restored on the corrected record.
The creator letter keeps the same spine. It centers on the videos, disclosures and claims involved and the posting check that now runs before every affiliate video goes live.
How a reviewer reads an affiliate appeal
A reviewer wants three answers. What went wrong, whether it has stopped, and what prevents it from happening again. Answer them in that order and attach the proof in that order. Paragraphs about how much the affiliate channel means to your revenue answer none of the three, and they push the useful lines further down the page.
Name the creators whose collaborations ended, the terms that changed, the videos removed and the date of each. Name the person who now signs off campaigns. A file like that leaves the reviewer nothing to ask.
Evidence to Keep After the Warning
The log you start on day one does two jobs. It backs an appeal if you need one, and it tells you whether the fixes are moving SPS.
Warning response checklist with the fix, the evidence and the date
- Save the notice. Evidence is a screenshot or export with the date received. Done on day 1.
- Record SPS on the notice date. Evidence is the Seller Center reading. Done on day 1.
- Check whether the action is an immediate enforcement with a 12 to 72 hour window. Evidence is the notice text. Done on day 1.
- Name the trigger as score, policy violation, product VoC or creator flag. Evidence is a one paragraph written cause.
- Clear late dispatch. Evidence is a list of orders shipped with dates and tracking numbers.
- Close cancellations and buyer issues. Evidence is order IDs, outcomes and dates.
- End non-compliant collaborations. Evidence is the creator handle, the end date and the reason.
- Rewrite commission terms. Evidence is the old terms, the new terms and the change date.
- Remove or fix affiliate content. Evidence is video links, the change and the date.
- Record SPS on day 7 and day 10. Evidence is dated score readings against 3.5.
- Decide requalify or appeal. Evidence is the decision and the reason, dated.
Reviewing your commission terms
Commission terms are the cause sellers check last. Terms that pay creators for volume with no rule on how the sale is made reward the behavior enforcement targets, such as inflated engagement, exaggerated claims and promotion without disclosure. Read each term and ask what behavior it pays for. Pair every performance bonus with written content rules and the right to end a collaboration that breaks them. Put those rules inside the collaboration so creators see them before they post.
Why dates carry weight
A reviewer judges your seriousness partly by timing. Fixes made within 48 hours of the notice show control. Fixes made on day 13 look like a reaction to the deadline. “We shipped 412 late orders between day 2 and day 5, listed below” is evidence. “We improved fulfillment” is not.
Records to keep for the long term
Keep every collaboration agreement, the commission terms in force for each campaign, the claims sheets you gave creators and the content you approved. Those files answer any later question about what a creator was told to say. They matter outside the platform too. The FTC Endorsement Guides at 16 C.F.R. Part 255, last revised at 88 FR 48102 on July 26, 2023, require in section 255.5 that a material connection between a brand and an endorser be disclosed clearly and conspicuously. A file showing you required that disclosure supports your platform position and your legal one.
What Never to Do While the Warning Is Open
Two weeks is short, and pressure produces moves that make recovery harder.
- Do not move creator deals off the platform. Paying creators outside the program to keep pushing products that were pulled can create a new violation.
- Do not open a second shop to keep affiliate sales running. It reads as evasion and puts both shops at risk.
- Do not launch a new creator campaign to replace lost sales. A fresh surge while dispatch is still recovering drags SPS down again.
- Do not buy engagement. Fake views and followers are the manipulation the creator side acts on, and US federal rules ban the purchase too.
- Do not let the notice sit. Plans restore automatically only inside 14 days, and a 12 to 72 hour correction window can close before you read the email twice.
- Do not send several appeals with different stories. Sellers get two per violation and creators get one.
- Do not blame creators in the appeal. You picked the collaboration and set the terms. Own the fix.
Contacting TikTok Shop
Correct the cause before you write anything. Use the appeal or support route the notice names and list each correction with its date. A dated list gives the reviewer something to approve. A message that only asks why the removal happened gives them nothing.
Region and law
The affiliate rules apply across TikTok Shop markets, and the figures above come from the US Seller Academy. Check the policy page for your market in Seller Center, because thresholds can differ by region. The legal frame differs more.
- United States. Sponsored creator content falls under the FTC Endorsement Guides at 16 C.F.R. Part 255. Buying fake followers is a separate federal problem. The FTC consumer review rule at 16 C.F.R. Part 465, published at 89 FR 68077 on August 22, 2024, makes it unlawful in section 465.8 to buy or sell fake indicators of social media influence for a commercial purpose. Inflated engagement can break platform rules and federal law at once.
- European Union. The Platform-to-Business Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2019/1150, has applied since 12 July 2020. Article 4 requires a statement of reasons on a durable medium before or when a restriction or suspension takes effect, and at least 30 days of notice before full termination. Article 11 requires a free internal complaint system.
- United Kingdom. The same regulation was retained in UK law, and the retained Article 4 keeps the statement of reasons and the 30 day termination notice.
- Everywhere else. The platform’s terms operate as a contract, and the release of commissions and earnings follows those terms under general contract law.
If you sell in the EU or UK and the notice gave no reasons, ask for the statement of reasons through the complaint route. Do it alongside the platform appeal, not instead of it.
Weekly Monitoring Routine for TikTok Shop Affiliate Removal
Prevention comes down to two habits. Sellers keep SPS at 3.5 or above, and creators log every warning and fix the pattern before it repeats. A fixed weekly review turns both habits into a schedule.
The routine
- Read SPS. Note the score and the change from last week. Act the moment it moves toward 3.5.
- Check fulfillment. Compare Late Dispatch Rate to 4%, Valid Tracking Rate to 95% and Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate to 2.5%.
- Check product VoC. Flag any product near 1.5 times its category average.
- Review active collaborations. List creators, terms and new content posted.
- Spot-check creator videos. Watch a sample for unsupported claims and missing disclosures.
- Log warnings. Record each new warning with date and cause, and mark whether it repeats one from the last 90 days.
- Plan capacity. Match next week’s creator pushes against stock and carrier pickups.
Weekly metric log template
- Week starting date
- SPS this week and change from last week
- The three fulfillment rates this week next to their limits
- Products near or above 1.5 times category VoC
- Active creator collaborations and new ones started
- Creator videos reviewed and issues found
- Warnings received, with cause and repeat count in 90 days
- AHR points and distance to the next milestone
- Planned creator pushes and capacity check
- Owner sign-off and date
How long a warning stays with you
The Account Health Rating Requirements page, dated 10/09/2026, sets AHR on a 0 to 1,000 scale. Every seller starts at 200 points, and both earned and deducted points reset after 180 days. At 150 points, new listings and mega campaign enrollment stop for 7 days. At 100 the block runs 14 days, at 50 it runs 28 days and at 0 the account may be permanently deactivated. Sellers earn back 4 points for every 200 finished orders, capped at 20 points a week. A violation logged today still weighs on the account for six months, so a second problem lands on top of the first. Our breakdown of AHR milestones walks through each level.
AHR and SPS do different jobs. The same page says low SPS does not trigger enforcement on its own while low AHR may. Affiliate access is the exception sellers miss, because the Affiliate Marketing Policy uses SPS as its gate. A shop can sit in the green on AHR and still lose its creators on SPS.
Ownership
Give one person the routine and the log. On a brand with a large creator network, that person also approves every new collaboration and every change to commission terms. On a creator account, the creator or their manager owns it. The log works only when someone reads it each week and acts on it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I get TikTok Shop affiliate collaborations back?
Yes, previous affiliate plans are restored automatically if the shop meets the qualification criteria again within 14 days. For a score trigger that means SPS back to 3.5 or higher. After 14 days you can still requalify, but you must start new collaborations by hand.
What SPS do I need to stay in TikTok Shop Affiliate Marketing?
You need an SPS of 3.5 or higher, measured over the last 90 days. Between 3.0 and 3.5 you get a warning and cannot add new products, though existing collaborations continue. Below 3.0 the shop is disqualified.
What happens if I ignore a TikTok Shop affiliate removal warning?
For sellers, the automatic restore lapses after 14 days and every collaboration has to be rebuilt. For creators, the same violation 6 times within 90 days may remove e-commerce permissions at once and freeze commissions. Frozen commissions may be forfeited if no appeal is filed within 30 days.
How long does a TikTok Shop affiliate removal warning stay on my account?
Account Health Rating points, earned or deducted, reset after 180 days. Until then the deduction counts toward the 150, 100, 50 and 0 point milestones. A second violation inside that period adds to the first.
How many times can I appeal an affiliate removal?
Sellers get two appeals per violation, the first within 30 days of notification and the second within 15 days of a rejection. Creators get one appeal per violation within 30 days. Creator Health enforcement actions cannot be appealed.
How do I stop a TikTok Shop affiliate removal from coming back?
Hold SPS at 3.5 or above and log every warning with its date and cause. Review dispatch, tracking, cancellations and creator content weekly. Fix any repeat pattern before it reaches a second strike.

Plenty of sellers requalify inside 14 days with the plan above. Bring the case to us when SPS cannot reach 3.5 before the window closes, when a policy action you believe was misread caused the removal, or when a creator account faces permission removal and has only one appeal. Those cases need an appeal built on the platform’s own rules and a corrective record a reviewer can approve in one read.
