The Temu Lost Shipment Investigation Service That Traces Your Missing Cartons and Files With Whoever Held Them.
Temu goods cross the border three ways: into Temu’s receiving warehouses under the fully managed model, out of your own or a 3PL’s warehouse under semi-managed, or straight from China order by order under Y2. When units or money go missing, the first question is custody. We trace every carton, check what was sent against what was signed for and file with whoever held it. Start with a free assessment.
Three labels on one carton carry three different facts about custody.
This carton is one of twelve on a shipping order to a Temu receiving warehouse. Drag the gold beam across its labels to see what each one proves.

Six Places a Temu Shipment Comes Up Short
Each hold is a different loss, a different record and a different party to file with. Open a hold to see yours.
Think of your goods crossing on one ship. Each hold is a different way units go missing. Tap a hatch to see what is inside.
Who Pays When Your Temu Shipment Goes Missing
Temu checks a claim against its own receiving record. A carrier checks it against its acceptance scan and its terms of carriage. A 3PL checks it against its receiving report and the agreement you signed. Each one pays, or declines, based on whether the loss happened while it held the goods.
File with the wrong party and the answer is a polite no, however real the loss. So we settle custody before a single claim is written. Try routing six real-world losses yourself.
- Custody proven at every handover
- One claim per loss, with the party that held it
- Carrier windows and 3PL terms checked first
Here is a loss. Read who held it last, then stamp it Temu, 3PL, or Carrier. The note says whether the other side would accept it.
How We Investigate Your Temu Shipment, Step by Step
Five steps. The first one decides everything, because a loss filed with the wrong party goes nowhere.
Five containers wait on the ground, one per step. Tap one, or press load, and watch it ride the loader onto the main deck.
Three Temu Models, Three Chains of Custody
Temu names things its own way, and the names tell you who held the goods. A stock-up order (备货单) is what Temu asks you to send. A shipping order (发货单) is what you actually sent, and the carton mark (箱唛) ties each carton to it. Switch the model and watch the clocks. Scan times are local, so a journey in local time can look out of order.
Fully managed. You send stock to Temu's receiving warehouse against a stock-up order, and Temu sells, ships, and handles after-sale. Your custody ends at the sign-for.
Every Temu Tracking Number Decoded and Assigned
Your investigation file lists each parcel, what its reference says about who handled it, whose custody the loss sits in and whether it was filed, held for proof or needs fixing first. A mistyped tracking number gets caught before a carrier ever sees it.
International postal tracking numbers follow a standard called S10. Tap a parcel in the file, or type one, to split it into what each part tells us.

Who is responsible when a Temu shipment goes missing?
Responsibility for a missing Temu shipment follows custody, meaning whoever held the goods when they went missing. Under the fully managed model, once Temu’s receiving warehouse signs for your cartons, the loss is raised with Temu. On the road there it sits with the carrier or forwarder you booked, and inside a 3PL it sits with the 3PL.
Temu signed for my cartons but the stock never showed up. What do I do?
When Temu’s warehouse signed for your cartons but the stock never appeared, line up the shipping order, the carton marks, the sign for record and the carton weights. Then raise it with Temu through Seller Central with the counts attached. The sign for record shows custody passed to Temu, which is the key fact.
How do I prove Temu received my cartons?
You prove Temu received your cartons with the receiving warehouse’s sign for record, matched to your shipping order, carton marks and carrier proof of delivery. Carton weights at pickup and at receiving help show whether units went missing before or after handover. Keep all of it for every shipping order, because custody decides who pays.
Why did Temu reject my goods at quality inspection?
Temu rejects goods at quality inspection when they do not match the listing or its standards, such as wrong labels, unreadable barcodes, damaged packaging or product defects. Rejected goods are returned and you usually pay the logistics cost, so a rejection costs twice. Fix labels and packing before the next shipping order.
Can I challenge a Temu quality inspection rejection?
A Temu quality inspection rejection can be challenged when the reason given does not fit the goods. Send evidence such as packing photos showing clear barcodes and labels, the product specs and the shipping order. When the reason does fit, the better move is to fix the product or packing before the next shipping order.
Who do I claim from when a semi-managed Temu order is lost?
Semi-managed Temu orders are shipped by you or your 3PL, so a lost parcel is usually claimed from the carrier or the 3PL under your agreement with them. If Temu applies a fulfillment penalty and the carrier’s acceptance scan shows the parcel was handed over on time, raise that with Temu too.
How long do I have to claim a lost Temu shipment?
The time to claim a lost Temu shipment depends on who held it. Carrier claim windows are set by each carrier’s terms and are often short, 3PL agreements set their own notice periods and Temu sets its own process in Seller Central. Check every window as soon as a loss shows up and work the oldest first.
What records do I need to trace a lost Temu shipment?
Tracing a lost Temu shipment takes the shipping order, carton marks and counts, packing list, carton weights, carrier tracking and proof of delivery or sign for record, plus supplier invoices for value. Together they show where custody changed hands. Never create or edit a document to fill a gap.
Is it worth hiring a Temu lost shipment investigation service?
A Temu lost shipment investigation is worth it when cartons pass through several hands, such as a forwarder, a 3PL and Temu’s warehouse, and nobody can say where units went missing. We settle custody first, then file each loss once with the party that held it. Start with a free assessment of your missing shipments.
How much does a Temu shipment investigation cost?
The cost of a Temu shipment investigation depends on how many shipments are affected, how many parties touched the goods and how complete your records are. We start with a free assessment, tell you which losses look recoverable and from whom and then quote the work.
Can anyone guarantee I will be paid for a lost Temu shipment?
No. Temu, the carrier or the 3PL makes the final decision on each claim. Be careful with anyone who promises a payout. What we commit to is the work: custody traced, every documented loss filed once with the right party and a straight answer on what is worth claiming before you pay.
